Today class was held in Aachen, a city bordering the Netherlands and Belgium. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aachen
Class was so interesting today. we wandered around the church of charlemagne and his old hall (which is now the town hall)
it was interesting to see all of the changes that were made to the hall throughout history. From history classes you tend to think that these buildings are just historic sites and forget that its part of a city and that it evolves with the people that live there. I took so many pictures of the church; it was gorgeous! We even go to go into a restricted area because our professor knew someone who had a key, it was really cool because we got to see the thrown of hundreds of German (or Holy Roman Empire) Kings.
I really enjoyed the whole class, and took sooo many pictures.
I’m sort of nervous for tomorrow since I’ll be starting a new job again. I’m also excited to sleep in and meet some new people, should be exciting. J
Tschüß!!!
